- April to May and September to October. Summer is hot and crowded; the Narrows can close for high water in spring.

- Springdale is at the south entrance. Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport is about 2.5 hours away by car.

Zion National Park questions
Do I need a permit for Angels Landing?
Yes. A permit is required every day, through a seasonal lottery or a day-before lottery on Recreation.gov.
Do I need a reservation to enter Zion?
No timed-entry reservation is needed, and the shuttle is free with no ticket. Arrive early, as parking fills by mid-morning.
Where should I stay near Zion?
Springdale sits right outside the entrance and is the easiest base. Zion Lodge is the only hotel inside the park.
