Sorrento sits on cliffs above the sea, facing Naples and Vesuvius across the bay. Its centre is Piazza Tasso, with lanes of shops selling lemons, limoncello and inlaid wood. It is flatter and easier to get around than the Amalfi towns, and ferries run from its harbour to Capri and Naples.
