- About 3 hours from Naples. The walk takes about 30 to 40 minutes up and 20 to 30 minutes down.
- Best time
- Clear mornings. Views are often hazy later in the day.
- Getting there
- Shuttle buses run from Ercolano, Pompei and Naples to the trail entrance. Private cars cannot park at the top; they use a car park lower down, then a shuttle or a walk uphill.
